Subject: add url page down?
There is no confirmation of any kind on submission of a new URL via:

http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl

Is the submit URL form not working? Submit returns a blank, white
page.

Thanks.

The URL submission form has little to no functionality :-) -- you need
good links to get indexed automatically.

Thanks. For a small state gov't. program site directed at a small
percentage of the population with few inbound links currently, that
can be a problem. So, people who need to find this program must wait
for "good" links? Functionality dictates service to citizens? It's a
CNAME of a .gov; any other options?

Thanks,
Tripp

Hi Tripp

If the program is good, it will get links and then it will get
indexed. If it does not get links, chances are nobody is interested in
finding it either :-). You will always have to do the initial
promotion yourself. If it is a state program, have the official state
homepage link to it - that should be enough to get indexed. If you
already have links from the state or from existing government programs
then you probably don't have to do anything more.

Here's some more information about this:

Hi John,

I have currently no inbound links, and the links out are built with
dynamic .NET redirect, not sure if google can follow them. Is this the
reason why a get a white page as answer when I add the url?

I am also concerned about my homepage javascript animation. Can it
make crawling difficult for google.

Certainly I am not indexed yet but don't why yet.

Can you suggest me what I should do? Would it help if I sent any
examples?
