"Wysz" is a Google employee who contributes very helpfully, politely and insightfully to the Googe Webmasters forum, especially the section called "Crawling, indexing, and ranking". You heard of it?
Just like you, Wysz is under no obligation to reveal his full name. "Wysz" (as in, "Gee, Wiz!") has had that nickname for a long time and everyone (other than the Google payroll department) uses it.
But if you must know, he was born "Michael Wyszomierski" (see the connection?).
Wysz was originally from Bucks County, Pennsylvania (where the movie "Signs" takes place), but is now in sunny California. He misses the snow in winter, but has really enjoyed being able to eat outside for much of the year. When not in front of a computer, he enjoys photography, videography, and skiing... sometimes all at the same time!
There is a flicker of speculative rumour that Wysz used to have a particular penchant for photographing Apple jackets and Apple corporate office buildings but I think reprogramming has changed all that.
Next time we have a beer, I'll tell him you were asking :-))
I hope this helps and that you will be able to sleep peacefully at night.
Robbo :-)
(With apologies to Wysz for plagiarism, paraphrasing and unattributed quotation. Any factual errors - blame me!)
