I have re submitted, resubmitted and I have resubmitted again today. It is getting close to a year now and http://www.recruitment-views.com is still not listed for the Google search in the UK.
It is a huge shame as it is specifically aimed at the UK. (as I have been recruiting in the UK for 20 years and still do even though I am based in Spain, thanks to the internet)
My guess is that as I now live in Spain, my IP address is Spanish and as a result Google will not register me for the UK.
So I have a feeling I just need to search louder so that Google can hear me.

I had exactly the same scenario a few months ago. UK business site hosted outside the UK. Moved to UK hosting and the site came back on the UK listings in about 7 or 10 days.
I also took the opportunity to move to a faster more efficient hosting company which also has helped considerably.
I have had the same problem all last year + this! But i AM on uk servers. (seems to be .com sites only, not co.uk) I have just got back on the uk search, why, i dont really know. The last two times it happened i kept posting in the forum with no real answers but then appeared on uk search, (coincidence?). I have another site that is doing the same as well. If some one knows the answer, please share it with us. This question could have a forum all of its own.! AWK
I see you had a few postings on this subject, its so annoying that no one from Google deals with it. I read somewhere someone suggested that Google had an option for where you want to your site to be found.
I was thinking of .co.uk in the template for every page!
There should be someone at Google who can deal with these issues I cannot change my ISP as I am signed up for a year
Your biggest problem is having the .com domain as at the moment you are being penalised by Google for this and wil not appear in UK searches. I have a number of clients who have dropped out of UK searches bechase they are .com's. I have trieed moviung servers to UK - re-optimising pages to include UK & England. It worked for a period of about 2 weeks then disappeared.
I am still searching for the Grail - I will post a solution if it appears.
Hah!! Spoke too soon. Was on uk search 5 hours ago:: now gone!! Why we bother with google amazes me at times, have got position 1 + 2 on yahoo + msn for keywords Any soloution approaching us soon please google? AWK
High Adam, Thanks for your reply. This has been driving myself and others mad! Thanks at least for the acknowlegment. Is there anything I can add or take off my web pages to help? Thanks again Awk
I have the same problem - our site www.generatorassociates.com is a UK site and somedays we are right at the top for our search workds "generator hire, generator leasing" etc, then for a period of weeks we drop of the panet - like now - we have not been appearing high for over 2 months again now. Its frustrating when we haven't done anything to the website to change its ratings etc, and we are negatively effected. I have brought the .co.uk domain of our site, and when get chance am thinking of working on that and promoting it to google to see if that helps but not sure. I am a novice at this website thing - and only got involved last year trying to help my family business. Most of us are not multinationals who can pay huge figures to people to work on it for months and try and get fair ratings. We pay for google adwords at the moment which is the only way we are getting online presence but it just seems so unfair on us all. And whats worse it that no one can help really - any advice people can give is great - but keep it in simple terms for me - I only know about htm coding etc on the webpages when i put popups etc in. Thanks Claire

I have also 2 index pages missing from 2 sites when doing a site:command local search in the Netherlands
another thing, is www.elgoog.nl banned? in webmaster central it only says "no pages indexed" for 2 months now
Hi Claire just thought I would say you summed up my frustration so well. Fingers crossed now that Google are looking into the issue as mentioned by Adam Lasnic it may get fixed.
I think its the feeling of being helpless, and when we we should be listed on the UK.
So if you read this could you let us know when you have solved the issue
I hope so - have sent him an email on another topic just incase he doesn't see this one!!! My way of shouting I guess. Helpless is the word! Its horrible because when you spend so much time working on a project - ie mine was the company website - I have spent 5 years doing two marketing degress at uni and family wanted to use my skills - so you spend months and months designing, creating content, testing etc website to impress them - and then they go to see one day where you appear and they don't believe it when your no where! haha. Well hopefully the "bigger" players in this world suffer from google too and its not just us guys hey. Doubt it though - as whenever do my searches LCH, Agrreko etc are always in the same place - seems very odd!!!
I've printed this email out - so if I get any more info I'll let you know and vice versa that would be fab
I have 27 client's sites affected on and off and have posted on WebmasterWorld, Matt Cutts blog and here previously - all UK hosted, all UK relevant content, all non MFA or affiliate small business sites for UK companies and sole traders. It is great that Google are now looking into this!
many thanks - thank you for that! Decided that for now going to spend time working on getting websites like mine mentioned elsewhere - if I can't do anything about gogle at the moment - im going to spend my time doing something positive like getting press releases put online for free etc - best to do something that I know works for now I guess
Google was showing an outdated cached page for my site yesterday. Today they show a later one and i am back in the UK search. My other site www.awkspc.com however is still not showing up on a uk search
Still no change for me but then again I do not expect miracles. It has been nearly a year so I am patient.
It would be nice if Google actually responded to my question, it always gets ignored still they at least Adam replied to you, I assume he noticed it was my posting and I am included in the issue!
Are you saying that there is or will be a fix for the .com domains on google's UK searches (is this being developed by Google or something you are personally working on - also does this affect other countries with their domain extensions)?
Will you be able to advise me of when you think it will be ready and when it is infact ready?
Hi Lotto, Adam has not graced us with his presence since that post last monday (Jan 8 2007 10:49 pm) My main site is back in the uk search but awkspc.com doesn't show up unless you do a www search. I was thankfull that he aknowledged it, but a bit of follow up would be nice.
