Subject: adaptive crawl rate
The adaptive craw: if the host slows the rate at which it delivers to
Google Bot, the bot adjust and crawld led frequently.

How can we learn whether it is the adaptive crawl rate affecting our
site or whether it is the host server slowing the download ?

Google's crawlers are adaptive: if they detect your servers slowing as
page
requests are received, they reduce the crawl rate.
