Subject: Redirecting highly ranked URL's
I am going to start using job board software that will be located on
another server. They suggest having a C Name record created that would
point 'jobs.mysite.com' (not created yet) to 'othersite.com'. I will
do that and understand that.

1) However, my stie is very highly ranked in Google for www.mysite/main-jobs
(which is the directory where all my jobs are now). What is the best
way for me to point www.mystie.com/main-jobs to jobs.mysite.com
without taking a hit from Google...from a redirect perspective
(excluding page content perspective)?

2) I also have many URL's of the type www.mysite.com/type-jobs/accounting.htm
that are also very highly ranked. What is the best way for me to
redirect these URL's. Please note these will not be liked name URL's
on the job board server (will not end in as accounting.htm for
example...will be totally different URL's).

3) Do you think I will take much of a hit from Google from a redirect
standpoint (not page content standpoint)?

4) Any other suggestions on handling all this?

Thanks for your suggestions.
