Here's something for the new googlers to look at then:
My home page (which had a PR4) is http://www.tuscl.com. For the past 5 weeks, it has been dropped and added to the google index maybe 15 times. The page will disappear from the google index for a few days, then come back for a day or two, then disappear again. My other pages on my site are not dropped, just the home page. There has been no penalty indicated in my Webmaster tools. And my home page has been accessed every few days by googlebot.
My site does not spam the google index. My site is not new, it has been around longer than google. My site is considered one of the top two on the web for what it does (this is from google when it was listing it, and from yahoo).
I really don't know what is going on. If any googler (or anyone who has had similar issues) can shed light on this, please help.

A question to the new guys from big G. How is a webmaster mean't to ask a question or get some key feedback through, I've been through the mill in the last 2 months and need to get some help but I cannot see a way of doing so as a re inclusion request is not really needed and I can see no other way of asking for help.

There are two larger conferences coming up, I imagine they're all busy getting ready for direct connections. Would it make sense for them to mention that they're all going to be busy the next two weeks? (just wondering, I imagine it might calm those who are awaiting daily contributions and don't know about the conference schedule..)

Daily contributions? _THAT_ we never had. But Adam posted on May 15 or so - surely Google has a corporate diary system?
My website (gaso.com) has consistently been listed in the top 3 search results for "gaso pump parts" "gaso pumps" and "gaso parts". Last year sometime google started displaying my disclaimer in their returns instead of the title. So I changed my disclaimer the last time I modified the content. Since I did that, my index page is nowhere in the to 100 rankings. What has happened?
