I haven't seen any way to disable SearchWiki yet (and I do hope that
is an option soon). However, I saw a comment on a blog about an
addition you can add to the page for a search querey that will display
the page of results in the original non-searchwiki format:
&hl=all
I played around with this, and made my default homepage (normally
iGoogle) to have this appended to the url for it:
This:
http://www.google.com/ig?hl=en
Becomes:
http://www.google.com/ig?hl=en&hl=all
Subsequent searches from this page did not display the SearchWiki
buttons and wotnot. However, this does make your iGoogle page a bit ye
olde school, and many of the default links are missing (ie, the link
to google News at the top of the iGoogle page). So, not a perfect way
to get around SearchWiki, but this method is an ok-enough work around
for now.
As a side note, I believe this method currently works due to use an un-
localised version of some google pages and functionality.
