same here - only shows up when i'm not logged in. UK based, so I might try proxying to see if it has something to do with that but i'm using google.com.
Thanks for connecting the different threads, rkhanmoh. And thanks to all for chiming in about this problem. We actually discovered this bug yesterday when I myself was sad to find there was no link to the themes on my homepage. :(
The good news is that we've found the source of the problem and our fix should go out with the next push (give it at least a week). Until then, I guess I'll just have to stare longingly at the tea house theme on my neighbor's homepage... or sign in to a Google Account that's not affected by the bug. ;)
I appreciate your patience and hope to have you chillin' at the beach or cruising the city scape (two of our themes) as soon as possible.
p.s. There are a number of shorter threads on this topic, so I'm making this one sticky and hope you'll all be kind enough to spread the word to other folks in the group. Thanks!
p.p.s. Keep in mind that the themes are only available on Google.com in English, at least for now. If you're in another language or on another domain and you can't see the "Select theme" link, you may be able to apply a theme if you head over to .com or select English as your interface language.

I am on FFox 2 and tried that workaround, but all it did was open a blank 'untitled' tab!!?? Any ideas? Or I guess I have to wait and wait and wait and wait!!!

Nicely done, ephillipe! Your workaround did the trick for my homepage too! Thanks so much for helping everyone out.
For those who didn't get your "Select theme" link back or didn't want to give ephillipe's suggestion a try, never fear. I mentioned earlier that we'd be pushing out a fix in the next week and it turns out that fix will be live sooner than I'd originally thought -- check back soon (check your homepage, that is).
Bill Drew -- unfortunately, I wasn't on the team that fixed this particular bug, so I don't have a lot of details I can share with you about what caused it. Sorry 'bout that -- if I hear anything I can share, I'll let you know.
Don't know if there's an easier way, but I simply deleted my whole Google account, then recreated it with a different password. Everything was OK after that. Good luck.
I really like the new personalization. I just changed mine to City Scape. Then I opened up my Google calendar and now it seems kind of bland next to my supercool homepage. Are there upcoming personalizations of Google calendar and Gmail? It would be so fun.
I also had a question regarding my homepage and Iternet Explorer. I use Explorer 7.0 with tabs. On my Google homepage I have tons of newspapers, my calendar, my gmail, and whatnot. When I press Ctrl + the link/headline in the feed it opens a new tab. But it won't open a new tab if I press Ctrl + the main bold, underlined title of the feed-- the only way to open Google Calendar or just the general New York Times page without creating my own bookmark or typing in the URL.
Is this an Internet Explorer problem or something that Google could fix? I generally just hit Ctrl + Google calendar which opens a new calendar tab and switches the current one to calendar as well. Then I just hit back or home to return one of them to my homepage.
Thanks. I may not be the most internet savvy, but Google really helps me feel more in control of my web experience. Sophie
