The forum started with Simon Phipps keynote address on the The Zen of
Free - The Thinking behind an Open Source Java Platform. Ironically,
I received a question specifically on when will the GWTCompiler and
Hosted Mode be open sourced?

Another question was: Why dont Google use GWT for their own
development? I am currently only aware of a smallish application named
Google Image Labeler that is built on GWT. However, I cant help but
wonder why the new Google Groups BETA product does not use GWT.

Anyway, the gwt-Petstore was demonstrated at the event. The
gwt-Petstore application is available under Apache2 and a dedicated
post folllows this one.
