This is very much like echo2, some people may want to check that out.
I'm going to be using GWT.

Well, there are some major differences.

Echo2 is very advanced
GWT is very simple

Echo2 is pretty slow
GWT is pretty fast

Echo2 compiles Java to byte code and generates DHTML
GWT compiles Java to DHTML

Echo2 applications are built as servlets
GWT applications are built as separate clients and servlets

Echo2 requires server-side Java technology
GWT potentially doesn't (but it's gonna be pretty tricky :)

Why are you choosing GWT over echo2?  Did you have a bad experience
