For one, Google is using private cookies to cache webpages for the
public to read, which is a horrible idea. Secondly, they are assuming
that most webmasters are smart enough to send "pragma: no-cache" or
"Cache-Control" in the HTTP headers of private websites. They aren't.
Thirdly, GWA pre-fetches links that should not be pre-fetched, i.e.
"Cancel my account."
I had to burst your bubble, internet patrons, but this is a terrible
idea, or atleast a terribly implemented good idea. I want to know the
logic behind caching sites that send "Set-Cookie" anyways. This can
probably be fixed server-side, and should be fixed soon as it is
hurting Google's image far and wide, especially in the forums
communities.
