How to handle html tags/entities in metadata feeds

In our abstracts in the content we have things like <sup>2</sup> to
indicate superscript. The feed chokes on these values. How do we
need to handle them? Actually as I'm writing this I'm thinking that
the feed needs to go up as html with the CDATA tags. Right now I just
have them as plain text - Is that correct?

Yes, you need to use HTML for HTML pages, and you need to wrap the
HTML in CDATA blocks.
