Hi

We are trying to bring the sharepoint sites in the GSA results. We have configured a new sharepoint connector in the appliance and we are getting the feeds from IIS. But there are no ACL list for the crawled sharepoint sites. Please suggest us to get the ACL list for the sharepoint sites

Did you install the Google services on the SharePoint frontend?

You need them to extract ACLs.

Did you test the Google Services for SharePoint to make sure they're working?

Did you choose "Authorization by head request" or "Authorization by connector"?

Have you actually verified that there are no ACLs for the SP sites?
How did you do this?

Did you look at the connector manager logs? What did you see there?

Hi

We have the SP sites crawled and it shows up in the Crawl diagnostic. Also the feed type is Incremental . In the connector Manager we have selected the Authorization by connector
Since it is SP sites we expect the Permitted user and Group in the ACL list to be displayed in the Crawl diagnostic . I have also verified the logs and I don't see any errors.

Thanks

No, by connector means that the connector itself verifies it during the search.
You need connector version 3 and GSA version 7 then you can select ACL. And only then you will see the acls in crawl diagnostics

There's a checkbox for ACLs in the connector configuration form, under
"Authorization by connector". Did you check that box?

If you download one of the feeds from the Feeds page in the appliance,
do you see ACLs in the feed?

What kind of mechanism are you using for authorization? AD groups or
SharePoint groups?

Yes. I have selected that checbox. I have downloaded the feeds and there in no acl in that xml. For authorization we are using AD groups.

Thanks.

As I said before: Authorization by connector only marks the documents as secured but submits no ACLs.
This os only done if you select Authorization by ACL

Hi Thanks for your help.

We have selected the Authorization by ACL checkbox in the connector manager page even then we are getting the acl list in the feeds.

Thanks
