I am trying to install and configure VGSA. I followed the installation
steps in the vgsa_install_guide.html file that comes with VGSA. I'm
running VMWare Player 3.0 and can launch the VGSA, getting the blue
screen that tells me all of my network information, but when I go to
http://<IP address>:8000 in Internet Explorer where <IP address> is my
IP, it gives me:

Network Error (tcp_error)

A communication error occurred: "Connection refused"
The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems
preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again
at a later time.

Any idea what could be causing this?

Thank You!

This one may be simple. HTTP default port address is 80, not 8000.

Hope that helps,

Jeff

I'm thinking I thought in the wrong direction here. If you're after
the Admin Console, try adding /EnterpriseController to the end of the
URL, like so:

http://<yourGSAIPAddress>:8000/EnterpriseController

Hi there,

Out of curiosity, what specs is the the VMWare Server that your
running?

If you running on minimum or below spec, you'll need to wait a while
to let the internal processes spin up before you try to access it.

This generally takes 5-10 minutes on a 'minimum' spec machine.

Regards,
Steve.
