Hi,

I'm using SP2010 (configured GSA with metadata-url) and for a given SP
List, I want to search based on a particular column - "Regions". So if
I have 4 Regions like East, West, North and South, is it possible to
get the search based on a region like "East" so that the results are
relevant to East Region.

So if users from East region are searching for results, Can the data
of East region only be displayed.

Also is it possible to get all regions search results if required.

Thanks.

Yes, you can filter by the column, which should be present as metadata.

Presumably, you would choose not to filter by metadata in this case, so yes.

Thanks Dave. That solved my purpose of getting the results. Also the
link you have provided has given more information on meta tags.

Is it possible to get the meta data which is formed by GSA, which I
can go through and see what all meta tags are generated so that I can
make my search more relevant.

You can use the getfields URL parameter:
