Subject: Where is the documentation for the Google Search Appliance or the Google Mini?
If you have a question about Google Search Appliance functionality or
"how to" type of questions, please first read through the
documentation available here:
http://code.google.com/apis/searchappliance/documentation/index.html

For the Mini, you can find the documentation here:
http://code.google.com/apis/searchappliance/documentation/50/index.html

If you are trying to troubleshoot an issue, please go through our
general troubleshooting guide here:
http://code.google.com/apis/searchappliance/documentation/60/troubles...

If you cannot find the answer above, then feel free to post your
question in this group.

Subject: Re: Where is the documentation for the Google Search Appliance or the Google Mini?
There is a documentation archive at:
http://code.google.com/apis/searchappliance/documentation/archive.html

However it only goes back as far as version 4.6

How can I get a copy of the documentation for an earlier release?

(In this instance, a client tells me they are running Google Mini
Software Version 4.4.102.M.36, and I would like to determine what that
entails before going any further.)

Tangentially, how can I find a list of the hardware versions mapped to
the most recent software version they can be upgraded to?

You an get older documentation from the support site:

https://support.google.com/enterprise/

Keep in mind though that you need to still be under support to have
access to that but the documentation should all be there going back to
3.x.
