Hi,

I am querying multiple collections from my search. I want to group the
search results based on the repository/collection from where they are
coming. Is there any way of doing this ?

Thanks

This is not possible through the GSA since it does not return which
URL came from which collection. The only way you could accomplish this
would be to maintain a collection definition on your side to know what
to group where. Rather than collections though, it may be worth
looking into grouping by metadata and using the parametric search
which could be very useful:

"What Brian said." :)

Also consider that collections are really _views_ on the overall
index. All of your results are ultimately coming from that one index.
Thus, a result might be visible in more than one collection. (You can
see this when you drill down to a single result in Crawl Diagnostics.)

Still, it might be a nice-to-have enhancement on the GSA someday. One
potential gotcha (perhaps the reason they haven't done this yet) is
the time required to make that determination for all results in a
given search response. Google is - and I say/write this in the kindest
possible way - _fanatical_ when it comes to response time. Even OneBox
has an upper limit on response time before the GSA puts its proverbial
foot down.
