My google mini will serve results if I access it internally on our
network without problem but anyone trying to get results served back
from out side the network receives a connection timeout error and it
used to work a week ago though. I have been hosting the mini on a
residential phone service behind my router for a small website. The
only problem I see when I access the Google mini admin is this in
Network Settings is this....
DNS Server 208.67.222.222 unpingable
DNS Server 208.67.222.222 TCP connection refused - (101, 'Network is
unreachable')
DNS Server 208.67.222.222 TIMEOUT
DNS Server 208.67.220.220 unpingable
DNS Server 208.67.220.220 TCP connection refused - (101, 'Network is
unreachable')
DNS Server 208.67.220.220 TIMEOUT
NTP Server ntp.homehub.btopenworld.com cannot resolve NTP server
NTP Server pool.ntp.org cannot resolve NTP server
If I plug my laptop into the mini and ping from my laptop to these DNS
servers - it has no problem pinging them but the Mini seems to be
having some trouble doing this as you can see from the error message.
This is my first issue -why can't it ping these servers if I can on my
laptop from the same network?
Secondly why can my site visitors get serach result anymore, I have
set up dynamic dns on the internet and port forwarding for the mini on
the router but result will just not return from outside the network.
Can anybody help me with this please.
Thanks
Joel
