Subject: Bug Report: GMM 2.0.0.11 wininetHttpError on first start on Samsung SCH-i730 WM5 Verizon Wireless
(from Help, About)
version: 2.0.0.11
Platform: winm-PocketPC-SAMSUNG SCH-i730WM5/Web [en_us,en]
myl: N/A

Provider: Verizon Wireless

I have an EDVO (non-A) connection to Verizon Wireless.  Upon starting
the application for the first time after a soft reset or after
install, a connection is negotiated but the application says: (Error:
wininetHttpError [0 12007]).  I believe that a timeout is too short.
Retrying is usually successful.  Subsequent attempts are usually
successful.

I found that if you do:
1. Start > Settings > Connections tab > Connections icon
2. Choose Manage existing connections
3. Select your connection
4. Hold down the stylus or Activate button until the Delete/Connect
menu appears
5. Choose Connect

It stays connected for long enough to get GMM going.

This occurred in the previous version that I had installed as well,
but unfortunately I don't remember that version number.

HTH,

Robb Topolski
