I'm with Cingular and have the Samsung BlackJack and all I keep
getting is "Your current location is temporarily unavailable".
Thoughts? Am I missing something?

I have co-workers using Cingular whom have it working on their
BlackBerry's. So it does seem like it is working in some cases and
that it isnt just Cingular "blocking" stuff. One thing I was
wondering about was if it had anything to do with Windows Mobile as
the OS for the phone in my case since I have the BlackJack.

I have a Blackjack and on the about screen it shows the Platform and
myl at the end.
Under myl it says N/A
So I guess it must be probing for something specific on the phone and
it does not find ...so myl is not available.

Also a nogo here I have been trying for the past 24hrs in multiple
spots around town and always getting "Your current location is
temporarily unavailable". Not that it helps but I'm also running the
leaked WM6 OS.

Im pretty sure that if someone digs through the registry they can find
a key or value that can be changed to make this work. i dont know all
the terms, but theres a term for when your phone constantly sends out
signals and syncs with the tower. its probably a variable that has an
adjustable interval for the timing of it sending out that signal. if
someone can figure that out,or at least figure out what the term is
for when phones constantly sync up, its doable on the blackjack, its
just not going to be THAT easy

I use the Blackjack with AT&T service, as well. When I first launched
the app and clicked on "My Location" it started clocking in the upper
right corner stating it was trying to connect via GPS. It eventually
timed out and I received an error stating that my settings for GPS
might not be setup properly.
I thought that the maps for mobile would try to use GPS first, then
try to use the cell towers if you do not have GPS or if it's not
enabled.
Anyway, now when I press 0 on my phone, I get the same message
everyone else is getting, "Your current location is temporarily
unavailable".
I'm having problems with the IMAP configuration for Gmail, as well.
It worked at first, but hasn't been working in the past few days.
I'll post that issue elsewhere, but wanted to point out that it may be
related to the proprietary config from AT&T on this Blackjack.

Any update on if Google will fix our problem for myloc on the
Blackjacks? Is it even a Google problem or is it a AT$T/Samsung
problem? I saw another thread that the Google guys responded to. How
do we get them to respond to ours?
