Something weird happened to my address: (2000 N St NW, Washington, DC, 20036) Google maps doesn't find it anymore! A week ago it was still working and pointing on the right place, but no more.
Any idea how to make google maps staff aware of that?
There's a ton of posts here from people having problems, but I haven't seen any useful response from Google staff.
My home address also stopped working. Google Maps now recognizes my address only if I specify the municipality ("Croyle Township, PA") rather than the official, USPS-approved mailing address ("Mineral Point, PA").
This is very annoying. Why is it not possible to go direct to a member of Google Maps staff? Last year I put a lot of effort to get all three offices of one of my company's onto Google Maps and late last year managed this. I was even sent a window sticker which is in the back of one of our office cars to say people could find us on Google Maps. However, like others all these Google Map entries have now apparently dropped off the system. How do I get them back? It takes such a long time to get them set up in the first place, I don't really want to have to start again! Has anyone cracked this conundrum - or even managed to contact a member of Google staff about it? All the best, Roger

I see all kinds of messages on their help group regarding these mapping program probs. with 1 message, meaning no replies. The fact that it is free to users doesn't give users much leverage, but on the other hand the lack of reply or fix doesn't give Google much credibility. As you mentioned users have gone to a lot of trouble to utilize this service and poof, it's gone. I'm in PA.

Yep, I too noticed that my Washington DC address stopped working about a week or so ago -- when I enter it the way it's always worked (and the way DC recognizes it), Google Maps chokes. My address:
914 C St SE, Washington DC, 20003
now generates a slew of unrelated suggestions; if I try to use it as an address for driving directions, Google Maps randomly chooses "Washington St SW, Washington DC" as the replacement.
What DOES now work is spelling out the quadrant name:
914 C St Southeast, Washington DC, 20003
Why the change? It's really, really, REALLY irritating, especially since now none of the bookmarks I've generated or sent to other people work anymore.

It's actually now getting worse. A search for 1734 N St NW -- or 1734 N St Northwest -- in Washington DC now puts you down on C St NW; dozens of other addresses are coming up incorrectly.
For Washington, DC, Google Maps has become unusable. Alas, time to find someone else for maps for the time being -- and hopefully, someone whose bookmarked locations won't break as the app breaks.

it works now. it took about a month or so, and I was ready to revert to mapquest but I am glad it's fixed. There should really be an easier/ faster way for google to find out about these issues.

Yeah, alas, my address (914 C St SE) still doesn't work at all -- in fact, I can't get ANY addresses along C St SE to work. I wonder how they managed to fix the parser such that a bunch of OTHER one-letter street name addresses work fine, but C St SE doesn't work at all.... feels very kludgy.
