Ever get driving directions, but wish you could see what a particular
intersection looked like before hitting the road? Now you can!
In case you haven't heard, we've combined Street View and driving
directions to make it even easier for you to find where you're trying
to go!
Just get driving directions like you normally would with Google Maps.
If Street View is avilable in that area, you'll see little camera
icons next to each step by step instruction in the left panel. Click
on these icons to view a street-level image for that location.
It would be great if Google would train local residents to map their
towns. Provide one of those fancy camera's, with a credit card
deposit of course ;)

That's really awesome, Maps Guide Brian! But I would really like to be
able to print out turn-by-turn maps for each step of the trip, too.
That and cumulative distance for the trip at each step (so you can set
your odometer at the beginning of the trip and not have to reset it
after each step or try to do the math while driving to try to figure
out what your odometer should be reading when it is time to make the
next turn) are the most helpful features for me.
Thanks!
