Here's a good one for you. There is a company that is actually
advertising that they can get you listed on the map more than once for
the same location! They claim to be an SEO / internet design
company. In my opinion these are the people they should be going
after and trying to stop.
I will not mention my business or my keywords that we are discussing
due to the fact that a couple weeks after I turned them down (because
we were already in position 2, and a very relevant company) that our
company isnt even on the first page anymore, and we had been there for
some time.
I truly hope that someone at Google will read this and take abrupt
action as a company like this is completely taking advantage of the
system.
The company is based out of Las Vegas, and even has several different
sites of their own that take up a total of 2-5 spots on the maps with
different names, but identical content. If you dig a little deeper
you can even tell the companies that they are working for. When I was
orginally contacted by them, they had a list of all their clients on
their site, but funny how that list is now gone.
I am assuming that if i put the companies website and name on here, it
will only help their rankings because human nature will have everyone
clicking on it. I have all of the companies information, locations,
and sites that I have found. Does anyone have a suggestion of what to
do with it at this point, or how to get rid of unmoral companies like
this?
Anyone at Google want to help??

- title spamming: most results have keywords on the title and not only
the business name. Some example are: Jacuzzi, Last minute etc.
- double insertion: results A and G have the same phone number and the
sites looks the same. The name is the same.
Finally someone can help with spam on google.
I recently noticed that someone with the same business name
is spamming google maps system with business listings that dont exist
on the real map, and have just street name but no number.
Also they are all over the search results page just creating a mess in
search results.
Here is some links with the incorrect spam listings.

Hi,
I've got a basic question about what I've seen here referred to as
"map spam". I've recently noticed that a particular company in Seattle
has somehow been able to get it's ONE business listed many times as
different businesses by creating many domains, putting up essentially
the same website template. Can someone tell me if this is "legal" by
Google Map standards?
Main site: seattleflowers.com
Duplicate sites:
belltownflowers.com (search for "bell town flowers")
belltownfloral.com (search for "bell town floral")
pioneersquareflowers.com (search for "pioneer square flowers")
You can clearly see that it's the same business, same address, same
phone numbers. Yet they have managed to get three separate Google
local business listings.
Same company, they just made a subdomain and a second business
listing.
In the interest of full disclosure, this company is a competitor of
mine, and while I've got no interest in starting a conflict, I think
that everyone should play by the rules that Google is setting - and
this is the first time I've noticed this and want to know if indeed
this violates Google Maps or if it's acceptable.

B&B's have been emailed this "Offer"
The company in question is not a B&B and has no presence in
Teignmouth. Addresses used are false.
So the results are monopolised by just two companies when there are
10s of different agencies in York.
Until recently we got 10 different results. Now these agencies are
registering multiple addresses - in some cases these are different
genuine branches, Husdson Moody have several, but I see that 3 of
their 6 entries are at the same address but with different phone
numbers - land and mobile.
YRLA have been spamming these listings for a couple of months although
I think that their current three entries are different branches.
Surely the thing to do would be to ensure that these 10 results are
all pointing to different websites so that each business in the area
has at least the chance of getting an entry. That's can't be too
difficult to program...

Description: This company is using false address and couple names so
it can get more business coverage. Also, all customer reviews appear
to be written within one week. There is no Fireplace Chimney Cleaning
Manhattan New York company at this location: 11 Bleecker Street New
York, NY 10012.
There is an Italian restaurant Quartino and apartment building. I went
there to buy some firewood and I was told by the restaurant worker
that this chimney business does not operate at that location and they
did not know who those people were.
http://maps.google.com/maps?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4TSHA_e...
Phone number (212) 202-1452 listed on Google Maps is not a listed
business number and it’s not actually related to Bleecker street
location. All calls to that number are possibly forwarded to other
location or a cell phone. This phone number appears to be or was
related to other business: http://www.alexa.com/data/details/main/jccgci.org
This chimney company does not use their legal business name and
listing titles are only keywords to generate more hits and more
traffic.
The company has also second listing on Google maps under: Fireplace
Chimney Brooklyn Manhattan NYC with different phone number (718)
232-4750. It also uses keywords not a real business name:
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&rlz=1T4TSHA_en___US206&um=1&ie=UTF-...
Both listings appear to be suspicious and misleading.
Thank you for investigating.

Hello.
Someone added my personal information to googlemaps company
information.
I don't have acces to google account to fix this. I think that it
breaking the rules about adding personal information.
When searching for "hurstville computer repairs" using
maps.google.com.au the same company comes up 7 times (for the first 10
listings) albeit under different names.
a. Computer Repair Service Centre
b. CedgeOnline
c. My PC Store
d. ITShopping
e. MyPCStore
f. COMPUEDGE PTY LTD
j. Cedge Computers
All listings have the same address and phone number: 600 Railway
Parade, Hurstville, NSW 2220 - 0414 873 296
Is there a policy for multiple listings such as this?
the first result is spam because it points to a website that is a
directory of restaurants in the Naples region (campaniapages.com).
Also the telephone number shown is from the company who owns the
directory webpage and not the restaurant I am representing.
You can see the second and the third results that are correct in order
to compare.
Thank you in advance for your help.

1. Both "Citywide Fence" and "Diversified Fence of Central Florida"
are the same company attempting to double list on google maps.
2. Neither company has a true physical address or actual place of
business.
3. They are listing residential addresses in each city that they want
google map coverage. The addresses that they list are NOT places of
business.
Here are the search terms:
Winter Park, FL Fence
Clermont, FL Fence
Mount Dora, FL Fence
Apopka, FL Fence
Listing-
Green Painting
5454 West Windsor Avenue
Chicago, IL 60630

They are spam because the listing takes you to a webpage that has
nothing for that phone number on the website, it is the address of a
home (not a place of business) and the website is mostly in Korean,
which is a poor user experience because I am searching in English.

First, let me say thank you, as my previous spam report seems to have
been addressed. All in good time, but I do know someone's working on
these things & appreciate it.
Why this is spam: 3 of the 10 results are for "Tech-Net
Professional Auto Service" (which is NOT an actual auto repair
center). In addition, a total of 6 of the 10 Maps Results link to
this www.techauto.com website. While three of the listings *are*
separate, legitimate businesses in the Reading, PA area (2 Dulin's
locations and King's Auto Repair who must USE services provided by
these "Tech-Net" people), it seems unfair that being linked to this
one national website, which doesn't even detail these individual
businesses, shuts out every other auto repair center in the area. I
assume "Tech-Net" is listed this many times because of the different
phone numbers they use. Is there no way to break this monopoly?
Thanks for your help,
J.
