We're happy to announce that businesses in all domains (except China
and Japan, sorry folks!) can now verify their listings via phone.
Additionally, we've launched verification through SMS for all
countries except the US, China, and Japan. The Maps and Local Business
Center team hope that this will help to speed the process of getting
your listing up onto Google Maps.
Additionally, we've launched a new interface for the Local Business
Center that cuts down on clutter and makes it even easier to
administrate your listings.
For our other non-US users, you also now have a pretty login page and
"edit" functionality for your listings. We hope you enjoy these latest
