We have set up a client business in google maps. We got the location
marker slightly incorrect, and want to change it.
The change marker location is not there in the edit location area for
this business. Used to be
Any know the reason why?
I have a similar problem. Here are some additional details:
I can easily move the marker to the correct location if I look up the
address (no business name), but the option to move the marker is
missing on my *verified* business listing. I see no way to get that
changed, short of deleting the listing entirely and starting over from
scratch. (The marker is in the middle of the highway instead of at the
entrance to our building parking lot). There are other errors I need
to fix, but those are outside the scope of this topic.

until they do the update in Europe you can log into your LBC using a
European Google domain/engine. change the &gl parameter to a European
one, in that way you will be able to use the old interface (for the
time being, until they do the update here as well ).
Using this link http://www.google.com/local/add/businessCenter?hl=en-US&gl=NL you are able to use the old interface.

Thanks for this feedback. We didn't think that the "edit incorrect marker location" might still be necessary after verification, but you've given us some clear evidence that it is. We'll be adding this capability back in.

I agree that this feature is needed. I have been trying to set up the
location for the office that I work at. We are a department at a
university, and our mailing address is the same as every other
department on campus. However, I would like to have the location
marker actually show our physical location instead of the location
that our mailing address is registered to (about 1 mile difference).
Thanks,
Scott

Any idea when the move marker option will be in? In the meantime,
should we delete the incorrect locations and start over? I had
claimed a site based on a search, but the marker was wrong from the
start. If I would try to move it more than the 200 yds needed, then
it indicates it will take a while, so I claimed it, thinking that
surely then I would be able to move the marker.

to the wrong place!
