  i would consider letting the user draw a line along his house&#39;s edge. &lt;br&gt; you could then calculate the bearing between these two points. for &lt;br&gt; distances between points as short as your average house side-length &lt;br&gt; you needn&#39;t compute spherical bearings, you can just do it in &lt;br&gt; euclidean space.

  Reading this again, perhaps your complaint is that the marker seems to &lt;br&gt; move in the right direction but in a series of little steps. Yes, no &lt;br&gt; matter how small you make your step in lat/long terms, the marker can &lt;br&gt; only appear to move by one whole screen pixel at a time. That is a &lt;br&gt; linitation of pixel based screens, not the map.

  Markers can only ever be plotted at locations that are integer numbers &lt;br&gt; of pixels. Because your lat and lng increments are less than one pixel, &lt;br&gt; the marker sometimes moves one pixel East and sometimes moves one pixel &lt;br&gt; North, and sometimes doesn&#39;t move at all. This causes a slight jitter to &lt;br&gt; the motion.

  Larry, if you see the source code you will see that there are a &lt;br&gt; constant increment to &amp;quot;lat&amp;quot; and &amp;quot;lng&amp;quot; variable. That defines a &lt;br&gt; imaginary line, right? That line is not represented on the map. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;But the gmarker never moves over that imaginary line. Gmarker moves &lt;br&gt; with shaking movements. Why???
