  Once you&#39;ve issued the request, you can&#39;t stop the response (if there &lt;br&gt; is one). You can choose to ignore it though - modify your callback &lt;br&gt; routine to test some condition that is set or unset by the cancel &lt;br&gt; button.

  I got the Google Search Bar working on all my maps now by adding &lt;br&gt; map.enableGoogleBar(); so I can offer searches on any of the maps. &lt;br&gt; I&#39;m using ME, v6 &amp;amp; v7 &amp;amp; v8 and not that worried about FireFox as it &lt;br&gt; appariently has a lot of security holes, and don&#39;t think many are &lt;br&gt; using Chrome at this time. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;On Nov 12, 11:26 am, &amp;quot;geocode...@gmail.com&amp;quot; &amp;lt;geocode...@gmail.com&amp;gt;

  err, because it is a jpeg rather than a scripted page? &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Assuming you meant the map at the URL shown in that image ... &lt;br&gt; it&#39;s probably to do with the errors the browser reports. &lt;br&gt; IE6 says &amp;quot;geocoder is null or not an object&amp;quot; &lt;br&gt; FF2 alerts &#39;Enter city or zip not found&#39; &lt;br&gt; These clues are because you are running your searchLocations()
