Looking for some help in speeding up the display of markers -- as we
move from page to page.  Each page/map displays only 20 markers.  Yet
when we move from one page to the next there is a 2-3second lag in
displaying the new markers.

Perhaps this 3 second delay has something to do with it:

setTimeout("addMarkers("+init+","+final+")",3000);
