Seems it was a bad release push. It has been fixed, i also had a bunch of
sites suddenly broken. All seems fine now.

I'm still seeing the error - perhaps because of caching if it has been
fixed.

Now isn't that funny.
I've got a message that says window.jstimimg.timer is null - is this
the same thing?

Same problem here. My map randomly started throwing "window.jstiming
is undefined" errors. It was working perfectly last night.

OK, I'll give you one link but it's happening on all my maps - even
those under testing on my own machine.
Go look at http://www.paphosinfo.com/Map-Tala.htm or

Any help would be useful. In fact, I came on here to ask the question
and found a discussion going on.

switched and its all working again. Thanks everyone.

Mike's post was based on a pre-release of 2.152, before it became 2.x.
I'm a little surprised it's made it to 2.x with a rather obvious
problem!
However, having searched for window.jstiming, it appears to be used in
quite a bit of Google code. Presumably there's a module which should
be loaded and isn't.

I'll add my thanks as well. Didn't realise I'd got it wrong -
shouldn't copy the examples, I guess.

All the maps on my website stopped working today..
I had te replace in the code this:
google.load("maps", "2.x");
By this:
google.load("maps", "2");
But should be this a issue at Google right now instead of that it
became the problem today for thousands of webmasters??
A lot of websites probably don't work right now, while the webmaster
of those sites don't even know it..

Production sites should not use 2.x. It's strongly recommended that
production sites use v2.
I've raised an issue: http://code.google.com/p/gmaps-api-issues/issues/detail?id=1193

If you had been following the correct protocol, you would have used
v=2 for production maps and left v=2.x for demos, hobby maps and
experimental systems where you want to push the envelope. Using v=2
will pretty much protect you from sudden failures.

I've found that maps inserted into a document using an <iframe> still
work fine - whether using version 2.x or not
Ex Simple map <iframe> Version 2.x
http://www.insideniagara.com/map.html
Seems that embedding the map using Version 2.x causes the issue - No
examples because I have changed the code for the embedded maps
already.
