Why isn't there anything for mac. I had and really like picasa on my
PC but when I got a mac...i couldn't use it. Does anyone have any
suggestions of replacement programs for my photos? I don't really like
iPhoto because I can't do everything that I was doing to them with
picasa. Thanks!

You could help support the developers of both WINE and Crossover (the
underlying technology that brings Picasa to Linux, and other windows
software to both linux and mac) buy purchasing a copy of Crossover Mac
from www.codeweavers.com. I imagine that Crossover Mac is able to run
the latest windows version of Picasa without any problems. Someone here
should be able to confirm that, as I run linux, not a mac. And no...I
don't work for Codeweavers....just a happy owner of Crossover Linux

@marie.amber,

picasa and picasa web have been heavily inspired by iPhoto on Apple
OSX.
If you have a mac, why not use just that? (iPhoto, that is)
iPhoto 2 picasa free plugin also available in order to upload your
pics in the same identical matter.

Unfortuantely you have to have an Intel Mac to run crossover as per
their website. I am still looking for a Picassa for the Mac.

Sorry 67corvette but this is simply not true.

No need for anything like crossover (nor Linux) to post pictures from
a mac to PicasaWeb.
Just install the Picasa plugin for iPhoto and start rocking no matter
if you are on PPC.
It's as simple as that.

This is never going to happen. There is already iPhoto.
Of course if you want to run Linux on the Mac that makes things
different, but who needs Linux if you have OSX?

PS: I posted this already a few days ago but it didn't show up.
I hope this time it will.

Great suggestion, Alan! Crossover for Mac seems to run Picasa quite
well. There is a 30-day trial available for those who would like to
try it out before investing the $60.
