Hi everyone. Some of you with eagle-eyes may have already noticed that
we've made some changes to Google Groups. Navigating through the new
version may take a little getting used to, but we hope everything is
clear. To those of you who are Gmail or Google Calendar users, the new
look and feel of Groups may seem familiar. Don't be shy about telling
me what you think about the changes. I'll be posting more detailed
overviews of some of the new features over time.

But, I'm getting ahead of myself. How do we find this new version? Just
click the "Groups Beta" link on your Groups homepage.

Now let's get down to specifics. New Google Groups Beta features and
improvements include:

- New user interface: Easily navigate your way through different groups
and pages.
- Customizable Group creation: Play with the look and feel of your
group, upload a logo, customize your group's navigation links, or
publish a welcome message.
- Pages: Create, edit, share, and discuss pages within your group.
- File storage: Upload files to your group through the interface.
- Visible member list: If you're a group owner, choose whether to
display your current group members to the rest of the group.
- Profile photo: Let yourself be seen - not just described :)
- Group and profile stats: View stats on your groups' activity and your
posting/content activity.
