You're right, those spamming pages in spamming groups are a plague,
polluting almost every group search.
Even to filter the search doesn't solve the situation.
You can only report the page..........

I'm understanding that in many cases Google is modifying the page - or
all pages of the same group - in such a way that then you can read:

When I do a seach, such as "AMANA AP125HD" for info on an air
conditioner unit, all I get back is trash such as the following :

I'm rather sure mp3 and wav files can be uploaded to the group Files!
The problem is just in the dimensions.....nothing bigger than 10 MB is
possible to be uploaded.

I'm wondering if there are any plans to include the uploading of sound
files like mp3 or .wav files. The reason I'm asking is that I belong
to a chorus that prepares files so that members can have access to and
learn new music saving time at rehearsal.

This is not even a Google matter, apart the fact that Google Help
Groups are relying on the good heart of some voluntary helpers.
Who, after all, are human beings, with a private life and some basic
needs like to sleep, to eat, and to have a minimum of fun elsewhere.

I believe that at this moment, your account - probably the one you're
using for posting here - is owned by the Gmail address.
Maybe the old address is visible in the account as an alternate mail
address. On the other hand, it's the address still present in the
group as owner.

I believe the easiest solution is to post simultaneously the relevant
messages to both groups. Or forward to the second group the desired
messages.

Very probably, yes, you should resubmit.
Unless you use to technique of adding no more than 10 members by day,
that could avoid the necessity of explaining anything to Google.
