Am I being totally blind, or is there no option to use a signature in Google Groups? I have looked everywhere (except where it is located, obviously!) in all kinds of settings I could find. No "sig" textarea anywhere that I can find.

Obviously, that is what I want.
Signatures are rather important in Usenet, and I would obviously like to use one from here. If Google Groups doesn't support this, I don't know what to say (other than it's a very crappy newsgroups client).
No need to be snide and put down someone who tried to help you. While some may have understood your question as you intended, Sol's interpretation was reasonable, especially given that he's active in other groups in the GG Guide, like "Managing Your Group." I fail to see what you gain by being rude.
Btw, you're under no compulsion to use GG's web interface. All you need is your favorite news client and an NNTP server.

PS. If you have nothing to say, people will think better of you if you just hold your peace instead of saying it anyway.

I wasn't being rude... Or was I? Do I need to constantly use smileys in order to not be misunderstood? :S

Yeah, well... I WOULD use Opera's M2 if it weren't for the fact that my ISP doesn't cary any news server anymore. I'd rather not pay extra to use Internet properly.

Okay... but I did have something to say. I for one would consider it rude to not reply.
