Hello all,
The deprecation of content type="inline" gadgets went into effect
yesterday but, due to some unforeseen issues, we've temporarily rolled-
back the deprecation. In particular, the restrictions placed on
gadgets were too stringent, so the filter meant to catch just new
inlined gadgets ended up catching old inlined gadgets, and all new
submissions. We've been investigating the causes behind these issues,
but in the meantime, while we put a fix into place, we've removed the
deprecation flag.
What this means is that gadgets temporarily caught by these issues
should function again (and remain functional when deprecation is
turned back on). We are still preventing the future use of new inlined
gadgets, so if an inlined gadget is created today, it will work until
deprecation goes back into effect, but then cease to function.
Continue forward as though the inline deprecation flag is still set
and everything should proceed smoothly.
I apologize that things weren't working as usual, and that your
ability to use and develop gadgets was affected.
Best,
Dan
