Subject: "Search for Gadgets", directory sort and Nr of users - strange behaviour - question for Dan
Hi all,  have some questions and observations

I wonder if someone noticed that "Search for Gadgets" works very
strange (for several years not only now) - specially for a company
which is a synonym for searching ;-))?

If I put into search string world "weather" I expect that I'll get
list of all gadgets with word "weather" in title or description. Wrong
- we have 14 gadgets with word weather (in Title and Description) and
only 1 is listed through search, but all are in directory if searching
for developer AdaptA - on page 23 (with 1000 users, way below all
gadgets with < 100 users).

Normal user will expect that sorting in directory will have a rule,
for example - sort from most user down or sort from hottest
application, but no  - it is totally mixed.

Also I'm not sure how it is possible that gadget with more than 60.000
users (based on two independent analytical sw - one is a Google
Analytics) shows only 1000 users in iGoogle directory.

Same with word "AdaptA" - 3 listed, but 17 existed.

The question is: is really impossible to make a directory more user
friendly, with better sorting (best applications shoultd on top
positions), better filters, more fair to developers working hard and
badly listed? If it is impossible -. we have a bunch of developers
willing to help :-))

Thank you
  Jure
