From time to time I make changes to gadget code hosted on GGE.  How
long should it take for the changes to be reflected in the gadget?  Is
there a way to resynchronize the gadget so the changes take effect
immediately?

Your code/content changes should become live in a couple of hours.
Changes to the meta data for the gadget directory has been seen to
take up to 2 weeks to be taken to the directory though.
