I too relied heavily on GBS. And was terribly disappointed when it
was discontinue. However, I have installed FoxMarks which provides
similar service and has become a transparent alternative to GBS. Give
it a try. It might do just what you are in need. And, if/when GBS is
opened and someone takes it over, you can go back.

I have created a script in GreaseMonkey, which replaces links with
canvas tags displaying the websites the links refer to.
The script had security issues as it was trying to access other
domains, but when I turned it into an Extension using the GreaseMonkey

Sad to say, I ended up trashing the user profile on that computer and
building a new one, which solved the problem.

Yes. The usage model of Places and Google Bookmarks is so similar.
There's got to be a way to merge the two. In other words, Places
database should be kept in sync with the Google Bookmarks database
under-the-hood.

I will not use FF 3 until one day when FF 2 really cannot provide all
my browsing needs. Google Browser Sync is very useful for me who work
with more than 1 PC.

Can someone else please provide firefox extensions that provides
equivalent functions if Google still refuse to listen to its loyal
supporters who call for support of FF 3 in their Browser Sync.

Yes, I would like to add my voice to the outcry! It is not too often
that a piece of software fundamentally enables me to work better - and
GBS is such a piece of software. Completely sharing my browsing
experience across the multiple computers I tend to use is just very
very cool...

Yes. I faced the same problem on FF3. I deleted a section and it
screwed the whole layout. I took me some time to rearrange all the
sections on older version of FF

Gmail Manager

When I have this extension installed, each time I either shut down or
put my computer to sleep, everytime i bring it back up, I have to
relog in to google. When I disable this extension, I don't have that
problem. Anyone have any ideas?

Firefox 3.0 and Notebook - Display problems

Firefox display gets screwed (visible page reduced and tabs
oberwritten) when opening a Notebook from as a popup panel from the
status bar. Not sure this is linked to fact that I use the Firefox
zoom-in/out feature. But once I have used notebook I need to re-size
the entire FF window and then zoom-out/in to get it re-draw properly.
