I just tried using it in Firefox 3 Beta 4, and on a brand new profile,
after install and restart, in the options page the Stop Sync button is
showing, as if GBS is already syncing, and there is no Key entered -
and I am not able to type in the key, and if I go to the next tab, the
selection box where the items can be selected / deselected for syncing
is completely blank.
A shame, as I have come to rely on this extension extremely heavily
now, it acts as my primary session restore *and* Bookmarks
synchronizer....

Wow I cannot believe there are only 5 reponses here. Google toolbar
and Firefox go hand in hand. I cannot imagine updating Firefox without
this extension. This extension is the reason I use firefox over IE in
the first place.

GBS or not - Fx 3 has too many bug fixes and security fixes over Fx 2
for me not to.

Not me - I use Fx for a slew of reasons, and I am using the Fx 3 b4
because it is *fast* - faster than Fx2, IE, and right up there with
Opera in terms of speed, *and* it has a lot of security fixes....

The extension "Nightly Tester Tools" from the Mozilla add-on site will
allow you to use otherwise incompatible extensions. It doesn't fix
the Google extensions, but it does make many others work.

I think everyone agrees here that we would like to see it for Firefox 3 but instead of posting the same message 100 times on a newsgroup that probably isn't checked by Google developers let's try to contact the dev team on this project. Anyone have any idea who that might be?

oh please yes! haha This would be the only reason I'd never update to
firefox 3, I have my cookies, passwords and bookmarks sync between my
work laptop and home PC and it's the best thing in the world to
bookmark something and come home and its there, or to change a
password one place and its done at the other too... I can't find
another tool that does this all!

Don't bother. I tried to use Weave - after waiting 3 days for their
site (services.mozilla.com) to actually come online, the bookmark sync
function flat out doesn't work. It was so dis-functional, I'd have a
hard time referring to it as alpha. Bummer too because this is exactly
what browsers need - I think Weave is a fantastic idea and I give
props to Mozilla for making the move on it first (I'm sure IE will
follow). Unfortunately, it might be a bit pre-mature currently.
Cheers,

Ditto! I'd love to see Google Browser Sync become compatible with
Firefox3. This plugin is a lifesaver for keeping bookmarks,
passwords, etc synced between my work laptop and personal computers.
Pleeease? :)

I wonder if Google Labs is still working on this sync extension. Their
FAQ still refers to FireFox 1.5. Maybe the fact that it works on
FireFox 2 was just a surprise. Did the person whose 20% project this
is leave the company?

Please Mr Google, either update or say you intend to drop Browser
Sync.
I can understand Google has many projects in Beta status, but NOT
updating it is like dropping the product, and I think it is fair to
expect that users would like to know if a product (beta or otherwise)
is being dropped.
Let me just add to this thread and ask for the same thing: please port
browser sync to firefox 3. It's a life saver, and it's really a bad
predicament to have to choose between firefox 3 and browser sync.
