Subject: Accessible View
Issue #1 - Once I do a search the first result is magnified in a box
but the page is repositioned and the top of that box is under my tabs
bar or butts right up against it making it hard to read.

Issue #2 - When I use the = sign to increase the magnification the
first press is fine - the second and subsequent presses brings up the
find bar UNLESS I press ESC in-between.  It appears all shortcut keys
have the same problem.

After some thought I experimented - turning off "search for text when
I start typing" option fixed Issue #2.

The first issue can be awkwardly circumvented by pressing the down
arrow THEN the up arrow - the up arrow properly positions the
magnification box a few pixels below the tab bar - the down arrow
repositions the box flush against the tab bar.

It took me a while to determine that after a search page loads,
pressing the up arrow 'wrapped' to the last result on the page.  To
see the results in the correct order I have to press the down key
twice then up once to get the box positioned properly to the first
result after the page loads.

The short cut keys 'n' and 'p' both produce the same results at the
down arrow with respect to repositioning the magnification box flush
against the tab bar.

Please keep this experiment alive - it is GREAT for us vision impaired
folks.

Thanks.

Some more issues:

Issue #3 - If you press g, then you start to navigate through the
items in the menu on top of the page. It's not clear how to return
to the results. May be this suggests to define areas of the page
which are accessible via some keys (let's say, t for top menu, r
for results, $ for sponsored links :-).

Issue #4 - When navigating through the menu on top of the page
(Web - Images - Maps - ...) the page is scrolled down each time an
option in More is choosed.

Issue #5 - The short-cuts don't work if one is in http://www.google.com/;
i.e., one needs to do some search to be able to use the short-cuts.

Issue #5 - It's annoying that the current snippet with the default
zoom
hides the title of the next result. (This also reported on the thread
where
people complains about the discontinuation of the short-cuts
experiment).

In short. It sucks big time.

:)

I guess we'll have to create our own search engine. ;)

Ok. Maybe not.

Additionally, as has been mentioned on the "disappearance" thread,
please make the "zoom" a configurable feature (on/off, amount - maybe
= 0 for none).
