Autohide "popup" delay?

Made a little effort to search for this but came up fruitless.

Is there a way with the desktop in "sidebar" mode and with autohide
switched on, to control the delay before it pops out when you bump
into the edge of the screen?

Apologies if it's already a feature, but I've been unable to find

I second that suggestion. There's a to-do list gadget which
doesn't synchronizes with gmail task, and it only adds confusion.

Google Desktop needs to index file names

Echoing the sentiments of Fanatic and ranbir, Google Desktop needs to
start indexing file names. Albeit the file I was searching for was
a .pdf file, it is pretty ridiculous for you to type out perfectly the
name of a file in full and for Desktop to return 0 results.

Why does Google Desktop have no STOP Button

Whenever I do a search and Google Desktop shows me up a large amount
of results it is counting up those results. BUT, I already see what I
have been searching for and therefore there would be no need to stress
my computer ongoing. I would like to press STOP, like Outlook offers
me.

Full height requirement is greedy and annoying

It appears the sidebar is always on top and takes up the full height
even if you have just a couple of inches of widgets you want to use.
It obscures other windows and prevents from clicking on them. The
sidebar should dynamically adjust its height to what is in it.

better symlink support

I would like it if the google desktop search had better support for
symlinks.

The indexer in Google Desktop 5.9.0909.30391-en-GB-pb appears to treat
a file and the symlink to a file as 2 separate files and doesn't seem
to know they are related.

in vista and windows 7, system uptime is given in the Task Manager
under the Performance tab.
Windows 7 seperates it by days:hours:minutes:seconds
Vista seperates it by hours:minutes:seconds

GDS on top of desktop at all times but not open windows.

I would like there to be another view setting for the GDS. A view that
would allow the GDS to be on top of the desktop at all times but when
I open a window lets say Firefox, GDS is covered up. If I leave the
mouse still on the side the GDS is on for a set amount of time then
the GDS will appear on top of the window until I move the mouse off of

Hi,

Yeah, you are right.
Add a index now button (indexing with the full CPU,...)
Then the index will be finished within, example 10 minute or less.
