I tried using the google mail gadget but it seems to want to switch on
indexing before I can use it. I don't want google desktop to do my
indexing - windows 7 can do that just fine on its own.
Is it possible to get my latest gmail in the desktop sidebar without
switching on indexing?

I have Windows 7 Home Premium and I can't get my sidebar to unhide at
all so I
can uncheck the boxes to turn off the auto hide. It's basically gone
and won't come back at all. Autohide effectively hid it forever.

i want to be able to keep google desktop only on my desktop..is there
any way for it to just stay on the desktop when i open a program or
will it always stay open on the right side?

I would like only google calendar to display on my desktop. How do I
get rid of everything else? And I don't want the sidebar just like
hidden until mouse over, I want it gone.
I'm defragging my hard drive, and I'm trying to decide what to set as
the miniumu size for something to be considered a "large file". To do
that, I need to look at all the file on my system above $x MB.
