Option to block remote images in emails

I just installed Google Desktop for Linux. And when I search for, and
then open an email it loads all the remote images in the email. Many
emails prevent this because spammers use remote images to verify
whether an actual user (and which user in particular) has received
their spam message.
Anyways it would be nice to have an option to disable this.... more »

lower system performance degradation during indexing

I have couple of essential hints pretty common for other background FS
indexers in Open-Source area:
1) lower process priority
Could the indexer have an option
to lower it's priority or at least have hard coded priority to
something idle-like? Google desktop is intended to be run on DESKTOP
systems, where services have lower priority and desktop operations... more »

Hi,
I'm currently a corporate user of Lotus Notes on the Windows platform,
for various reasons I'd like to move to Linux, one thing stopping me
is lack of support for indexing Lotus Notes on Linux. This is support
on Windows. I wondered is there was a plan to support it on Linux?

I have many files, big files and small files but indexing not works.
After indexing of 6 other and 2 files indexing stop. There is no
information about progress and time to finish and nothing change after
days. I created new account without many files. Google desktop works
very fast and after some minutes index 100+ files. Is there any log... more »

Support for Thunderbird 3 - Extension Version Max needs to be upped.

Fedora 11 is delivering Thunderbird 3 beta. Google Desktop won't
index it as the helper extension won't install or is disabled due to
the install.rdf parameter "<em:maxVersion>2.0.0.*</em:ma xVersion>".
Upping the version number seems to solve the problem, Google Desktop
is indexing my new messages. Now there may be other issues due to TB... more »
