I have been itching for a solution to this syncing problem ever since
Google released the calendar app.. As I have been using Outlook for
years, it is not easy to migrate to any other program, and frankly,
there are just too many features not supported by Google's calendar (or
any other online calendar for that matter), which in turn makes the
complete migration not possible for people like me.

But a sync feature would help significantly. Starting last week, I
began experimenting with some of the better known solutions out there:
RemoteCalendars <http://remotecalendars.sourceforge.net/> and
ScheduleWorld's <http://scheduleworld.wordpress.com/>. Both purport to
enable the user to sync both ways, but both have major bug issues. If
you are going to try them, be extremely careful with RemoteCalendar:
setup your syncing in a new folder in Outlook, because one of the bugs
will delete your entire calendar if that error occurs [and it occurs if
you have a "weird character" in any of your calendar entries... can't
elaborate further since I don't know what it means to have a "weird
character", all I know is that that bug wiped clean my entire
calendar]. In fact, after days of trying I still wasn't able to
synchronize my two calendars on Google with my Outlook. Twice I had to
contact the writers of these programs, and still as of this writing
cannot successfully do what these programmers claim I can do.

Now, as most of you, I sincerely appreciate their effort; and I'm more
than willing to pay for a working solution. Thus, I wanted to raise
this issue up in this forum, to keep the attention of programmers and
Google on the issue of syncing. I think we desperately need a solution.

Best regards...

Not sure about your environment, but for the Windows MOBILE
Take a look at www.OggSync.com

Should clarify a little more....
OggSync provides an OTA 2 way sync from a Window Mobile 5.0 CF 2.0
platform. It also uses ActiveSync to move the data back to Outlook on
your PC. So you can add/edit your Outlook calendar and ActiveSync it
down to your mobile. Use OggSync from the phone to push/pull those
changes to multiple Google Calendars. So this runs on your phone, no
other server to talk to, i.e. ScheduleWorld, GooSync.

Maybe this will help.

This too is beta....but so far works great on my Motorola Q and Palm
Treo 700w

Try the 3 day trial ..wwww.oggsync.com

Try CompanionLink. It's commercial, but it syncs with both Outlook and
GroupWise for me.

http://www.companionlink.com/products/companionlinkforgoogle.html

Now I can see all my calendars in one where ever I might be.

Usual disclaimers apply . . . . .

I use AirSet. Flawless synchronization between Outlook at my office and
Palm Calendar at home. It's the only thing I've found that hasn't made
a multi-entry hash of all my calendars. If Google Calendar can emulate
that, they will have a killer app. Oh, and unless you use it on your
mobile phone, it's free, too.

Oggsync does the job really good for multiple calendars in two ways !
It creates as many categories as calendars you want to sync wether you
use Outlook or directly activesync.
