How long will it take Google to respond?

Hi,

I think it would be helpful to know in advance how long it takes
Google to respond to issues raised by developers. Basically what is
the level of support and commitment we should expect.

Here is an example. The language API provides great utilities I need.
I test it out and it doesn't work for me. I submit a question to the
group and bum! I get immediate help and example code on the sandbox. I
couldn't ask for better support. The code helps me to find my errors
in the code and various small issues with different conventions I can
fix myself.

Now I use the reference code on several computers with diverse
operating systems and I find problems with the API. I consult again
with the group and the right next step is to submit an issue on the
issue tracker. I submit an issue and nada. No response for more than
two weeks.

I monitor the issue queue and there isn't a flood of issues. In two
weeks only 4 new issues added. I look at issues raised in the last
three month and our of about 60 issues only 6 got any initial
feedback.

This leaves me puzzled.

And yes, Google doesn't owe me anything, I am using a free API, etc.

Sorry for the delay in getting back with you - I've been investigating
your problem. It's been difficult to reproduce, seemingly affecting
only Windows 2000 and 2003. We will continue looking into it and
update the issue in the tracker as soon as we have more information.
