So we need to replace one more runner for RTO with the race less then
2 weeks away! Who wants in on this amazing experience????? The
previously opened slots filled in hours, and the race is rapidly
approaching so you dont want to delay on snagging this. Info below.
Race date is Friday and Saturday June 1 and 2. We leave SF
thursday evening and return sunday afternoon. For those of you that
dont know what a relay is teams of 12 (2 vans of 6 people each) Run
around Lake Tahoe covering a total of 178 miles in about 24 hours.
Each individual runner will run between 12 and 18 miles throughout
the
day broken up into 3 seperate legs. As with all GGRC events heavy

If you want in, which you do, trust me! Follow 2 easy steps:
1) Pay the $110 reg fee via paypal (this covers only the race entry,
other expenses like vans and hotels are divided among the team on
race
weekend minus a large club subsidy) sending it to
paym...@goldengaterunningclub.org as "payment owed". This is
important
as it avoids any paypal fees. You shouldnt have to pay any extra fees
or you're doing it wrong. Put a note in the payment that it is for
RTO. Or you can give me a check as well.
2)Once you have paid, and only once you have paid email me the
following info: 1)Im paid! 2) Name 3)Gender 4)DOB 5)full address
6)Email address 7)Tech shirt size (mens and womens sizes) 8)10K time
9)Number of years in the Reno-Tahoe Odyssey

Here, here Mark. To those that are on the fence - this is a spectacularly beautiful and epic event in all senses - more of a destination and getaway than just another routine weekend run/local relay. If you don't believe me, check out the official RTO promo video, featuring none other than GGRC at the .59 and 6.12 minute marks (just unearthed tonight!).

Forget the majority of this dude's dry/monotone delivery - the scenery, dizzying altitude, questionable company, lack of sleep and extra night afforded in one of the western hemisphere's top cultural destinations (forget Barcelona, Reno has it all!), make RTO the obvious choice for anyone seeking a truly kick-ass, irreverent adventure among the pines.
