email hijack

my gmail acount was hijacked and used for extortion. I recieved the
following massage which appeared to me it is from Gmail:
"Gmail Verify Your Account Now To Avoid It Closed ( VX2G99AAJ )

It's unlikely your account was actually hijacked. What you've
received is a SPAM aimed at getting you to give up your account
information so then it could be hijacked. This is known as phishing.
You should report it as phishing using the link provided. Check this
link from the help pages:

One dead giveaway is that the e-mail came from GMail.com. GMail
support is Google and will be Google.com not GMail.com. Another is
that they asked for personal information. No reputable company will
ask for that type of information in an e-mail.

If you responded, but still have access to your account, IMMEDIATELY
change your password and security question so they can't get into your
account.

Thank you for your helpful reply. I followed the link provided it is
useful I learned about fishing. I did not find a link or email
address to report this incident to gmail management. can you provide
me the email address to report this incident.

If your message was already in the spam folder, then it's already
reported. If not, there should be a "Report Phishing" in the drop
down menu next to the Reply button on the top of the message.
