Subject: Printing attached images in GMail

I like to print copies of my emails to clients, including the
thumbnails of the attached image files.  Sometimes it simply will not
show the thumbnails of the images, rather only the actual name of the
file will show up and to the left of the image name will be a small
square icon that contains three colored balls (blue, yellow and red).
How do I make it show the thumbnails again?
