I have been using the Gmail notifier for quite some time without
incident, until recently. I have read the discussion forums and the
only help that I find says to download "Google talk" because it has a
built-in notifier. Unfortunately, that was no help. I still run into
the same problem.
The Gmail notifier now displays an error which says: "An error has
occured. Cannot log in to mailbox (12057) The server's certificate is
invalid."

I clear my cache, cookies, temporary files, and history on a daily
basis (often times more than once daily). I have uninstalled and
reinstalled the Notifier, with the cache/cookies cleared, and still no
luck...
