Get mail (to Gmail) from an IMAP account 
  At my University they have changed to allowing only IMAP as the means to access mails. This means that when I want to upload my mails to Gmail, I need to use the IMAP protocol. Thunderbird error with IMAP

Cannot Fetch Mail - Error: "Server is temporarily unavialble." 
  For several days GMail has stopped fetching messages from my ATT account. I continually get the same error message - "Server is temporarily unavailable. Server returned error "Error in RETR command: ."" I have tried deleting the account and reinstating it with no luck. Any suggestions?

Max. Connections to Server for Multiple Accounts 
  From what I've searched, it looks like the imap servers impose a maximum of 10 concurrent connections per account.
