Are you using the full Gapps email address to log in to the SMTP
server?
Did you try the unlock CAPTCHA page?
Check the firewall on your computer and network.
Try port 587 with TLS.

I assume that you set up Entourage to access your Gmail account with
IMAP. Did you also enable forwarding to your existing Entourage
account? If so, disable forwarding.

Your ISP may be blocking all servers other than its own. Try using
your ISP server settings to send.

I've set up IMAP mail with my new Google Apps email. I can receive
mail fine but cannot send through the smtp server. I get an error
message saying "contact network administrator". I've been through just

I've also seen this behavior over the past week or so when
transferring from a dovecot pop3s server to gmail.

Recreating the accounts did not help in this case.

Something must have changed on the Google side? I've checked a lot on
the other side (fiveprime.org)

Same here.

Just delete that account (yes, Gmail will keep your past messages) and
re-create it.

Same problems here... Multiple POP adresses in my Gmail, but syncing
with IMAP. I think the problem started when I switched from POP3 to
IMAP...

No, I don't get any emails...period. I've tried changing the settings
in send/receive several times to no avail. The only way to do it is to
delete and recreate. That's not really a solution, but I guess that's
all I can do. It must be something with Google. Nothing has changed on
my computer...
