I agree Jeff. I ignore all requests for receipts, no matter what. I
vote 'no'.
This shouldn't even be an option in any email client. What logical
purpose does this serve?
If they need to respond to you, they will respond and you know they
have read it. If the 'To:' address is bogus or broken, then you will be
notified with an 'undelivered' message. If no reply is needed, then why
would you care if they read it.
Please tell me how and why this is a necessary feature for an email
client.
